It runs down as soon as you allow gravity to do its thing.
How could you think it gets absorbed?
Dont you think a better question would be - how long does semen live inside a woman's body?

It does start to leave the female body which is why they recommend any female wishing to get pregnant to lay on her back for a while after sex (but that advice was a few years back)...
