What is lost is lost and cannot be recovered.
Today's' 5 minute society has lost perseverance, longevity, kindness, craftsmanship, and a host of others.

The family of today cherishes things other than family. There is no time to care for the elderly or the young, put 'em someplace so money can be made. Everyone works, everyone is so busy, there is no together. When was the last time your family sat down to 3 meals a day todether for a week?

Keeping up with the Jones' has a whole new meaning.

That is a grasping loaded very good question!
According to how God intended it to be there is a union between Male and Female, which is in the marriage ceremonies when they are joined together in the site of God. Now that also can apply to whether or not we believe in God and how we were created and intended to live. People can prosper in all kinds of situations, but they will not be according to God's plan for us to be his family,and He said He made man in His image after His likeness, and He also made Woman, according to Genesis in the Holy Bible, as a help meet for man.So every human being will stand in front of God Almighty for the Great White Throne Judgement, and be judged for what they did or didn't do. Those who have Jesus Christ as their Lord & Saviour and should of done what He said to do, and those who do not have Him as their Lord & Saviour and did what they shouldn't have done.
God will seperate the Goats from the Sheep and the sheep will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven and the goats will be cast into outer darkness. Today people do not want to be held accountable to anyone but themselves, and therefore there is no committments, only for greed, and selfishness, and that is not Godly at all. So can you see prospering beyond the Present?

If the allusion was to marriage and not an afterlife, is "As long as we both shall love" a more sane goal? Why subject yourself and your children to the daily living hell of a relationship gone bad? The problem is that people too young and too immature or too unthinking rush into doomed marriages, knowing that divorce is their get out of jail free card.

In today's generation of Marriage's if a marriage last more than 10 yrs its a wonder on how they managed it? But I haven't seen any marriage last without having any disputes in it. But In all honestly most young couple don't make it through 15 yrs of marriage without filing for a divorce. Even if the Marriage was done in a Church, Somewhere in the Marriage the couple loose their trust in each other, and sometimes seek councilors on their marriage, sometimes it works out, but others loose their faith in each other and go their separate ways forgetting what they promised each other on their wedding day. I was acctually just thinking about that the other day I don't think people understand the meaning anymore either that or they just don't really care. Its sad acctually, I mean now days who really stays together except in fairy tales ?
