Here're the diameters of the last series of French coins prior to the intro of Euro:
1 centime = 15mm
5 centimes = 17mm
10 centimes = 20mm
20 centimes = 23.5mm
1/2 franc = 19.5mm
1 franc = 24mm
2 francs = 26.5mm
5 francs = 29mm
10 francs = 23mm (bi-metallic)
20 francs = 27mm (tri-metallic)

You can get all of these coins from eBay, foreign currency exchange, coin shops, coin dealers' websites, etc. With the exception of the 10 and 20 francs, the rest are inexpensive even in uncirculated conditions. Good luck.

Each denomination vary in themselves as to what period of time they were minted. As an example the 10 Francs from the 1950-1960' s in much smaller than the 1974-1987 10 Francs. The books on world coins are good with what a coin is made of and it's weight, but give no diameters. They show the actual size of the coin so no need too. Try www.therosesworldcoins.com they list by country. They are a reputable dealer.

Swiss Francs are considerably richer on the tongue. Remember it is only foreigners that label currencies, french francs, swiss francs, US dollars Canadian dollars etc, the inhabitants just use francs dollars etc.
