When I asked some people at work if they wanted to join the NRA and go shooting, they looked at my like I'm crazy. Then they said some comments about "right wingers" and "gun nuts". So that's how I discovered they must be liberals.

I didn't ask them to join the Republian Party or anything, just if they wanted to participate in a recreational sporting event: target shooting. And you have to be an NRA member to use their facilities and range.

So the only conclusion I can draw is that these liberal people do not believe in freedom, such as the right to bear arms.

I'm not a hunter. I only like shooting targets or criminals who seek to do harm to innocents.

i can assume republicans don't believe in freedom either. For example: the freedom of choice (abortion), the freedom of love (gay marriage)

You could be wrong on all accounts, first I know a few liberals that own and use weapons, they also love their freedoms, sometimes excessively.

I know some socialists who call themselves liberals since it is not yet acceptable in america today to be a socialist, anyway I am pretty certain one of them owns a pistol but does not let anyone know about it. All of them show a rabid hate publicly for the 2nd amendment as well as its supporters, they also have a wierd definition of the constitution, which is the good stuff applies only to socialists and the rest is garbage, they get the 1st and 5th, other people cannot, they get the 2nd others cannot, they do not have to do the 16th but everyone else does. SEE WHAT I MEAN.

So from what I know to be fact, it appears that you are working with some socialists, not really liberals.

It's a shame where "liberalism" has ended up.

The classic definition of liberalism was for an open exchange of ideas and all personal freedoms were good as long as they did not infringe on the rights of others.

I see neither of those qualities in the modern "liberal". I wish I did because I could be a liberal, in the classic definition that is.

Ultimately, most liberals are really socialist ! This is not a wild accusation ! True liberals would be for less government; however, most liberals seek government solutions for every perceived problem.
Unfortunately, the Republicans want government to solve everything also.
There are no true liberals or true conservatives anymore because both of these want less government !!!
Unfortunately, we have a nation full of socialist, and they don't understand that real freedom is independence.

Why are conservatives haters of Freedom? Why do so many of them believe that one way of life, one religion, or one race of people should be primary and dominant over all others?

The people at your work made comments about "gun nuts" and "right wingers" because it is most commonly right wingers, gun nuts, and rednecks who are animalistically obsessed with war, starting fights, and justifying harm to innocents.

In many ways being conservative is directly oppositional to Freedom, and it is definitely oppositional to progress.

Liberals are haters of freedom because they want to control the people with by making them so dependant on freedom, and they want to destory people's moral values by allowing gay marriage and things like that, but they feel they can take away our right to bear arms.

I am all for the NRA, target shooting and hunting. But I don't think I would be considered "gun nuts".

Look up liberal in the dictionary. Liberalism is all about freedom.

The right to bear arms is an American fiction. It was written at a time of war and concerned the arming of a militia with muskets.

It doesn't give a hillbilly the right to keep an m16 under his pillow and a blowpipe in his car.

There are plenty of immature people who identify as liberals.
There are plenty of bigoted people who identify as republicans.
There are plenty of liberals who are intolerant and rude. Looks like you found a couple.

And there are plenty of conservatives who are just plain stupid, and it looks like you're one of them to think that a rude response to your question automatically means 1) they disagree with the right to own weapons and then 2) that they go a step further to HATE the freedom.

Jump to conclusions much? Just because liberals tend not to make firing guns their hobby doesn't mean they disagree with the right to own them.
