After Nvidia released their high-end 8800 series last year, they are about to launch their mid-level cards next week.

ATI could follow soon. It seems that the delay was caused by the sudden shift from 90nm to 80nm technology.

Well, it's a new technology. It'll come out probbably in August. In fact,it has just been released by nVIDIA.
