If it's a critique...start out with whether you liked it or not. If you didn't like it, pick your least favorite scene and have that as your attention-grabber.
If you loved it, pick your favorite scene.

Well you can start out by giving an opinion on the generalized setting that the book takes place and expand from there. the best critiques in my view compare that book to the generalized atmosphere of the world that it was written about. So a comparison and contrast that has overtones of what you liked.

If you liked the book, write about how the story worked for you. Focus on the suspense. There were plenty of narrow escapes. Or write about freedom. Huck enjoys it as an orphan and wishes it for Jim. Or focus on friendships--Huck has many different kinds.

You can start the essay with, "I liked the book Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain for several reasons. One of them was ___________ (fill in the blank)." Then the following paragraphs will contain examples.

As Mark Twain himself wrote in his preface, there is no single dialect to like or dislike. He used a number of dialects up and down the river.

You apparently disliked the book, and that's fine. A teacher will like an opposing pov, so long as it's sensible. You have to decide exactly why you didn't like it, find citations and organize them into an argument.

My own reason for disliking the book is its Tomsawyer ex machina ending; but I did enjoy the rest.

A critique is not a summary so that would make sense he does not want that.

Write down what you think of this book. Specially what you hate and love. Make SURE you also write down why you hate and love it because that is what a critique is about.

when you critique a book consider the followings. after reading put the book and sit back and see the book from a reader's perspective. what are the difficult points did you confront while reading, like grammar, usage of vocabularies, was it reader-friendly? About the content of the book do you agree with writer? how the ideas was presented? if u say it was interesting what was the point that caught your thoughts? does the writer has given references?
If you can discuss these point well and in-depth that can serve your purpose.
Good luck

burning 500 energy isn't that puzzling... in an afternoon... u prob. already use up 500 energy w/o even understanding it... (yet do not place self assurance in only THAT!) working, swimming, leaping rope, trekking, etc. all burn from 500-600 energy a hour... have confidence me... attempting 2 burn a hundred cals. another hr. will take in much extra time than only burning it up without warning... discover something u love or have a pastime in... and c what variety of exercising u would desire to do w/ it... :) reliable luck!
