its for a toyota celica 3sgte motor. i am looking at running around the 9:1 compression piston. just wondering if a flat top, or high dome of piston would be best. thanks, joe

hummm..... the higher the dome, the more compression, so you have to do the math and see which one comes out to 9.1, also make sure if you are thinking high dome pistons , the lift on your cam wont make the valves hit the pistons.... off hand I am thinking flat tops would be about 9 or 10 to 1

More than likely the flat top. Dome pistons will ususally give you more compression. Good luck

Get in touch with the WISECO piston company. Tell them your plans and let them make a recomendation.
Going up on static compression ratio with a turbo engine is scary buisiness though.

as long as its forged and the compression is right it wont make too much diff... but all things being equal Id go for flat or dished, not domed

I'm going with the flat top......it make the air/fuel mixture to be compressed better......
