a guy bowls a ball,he over steps the line(so its a no ball),the batter charges it,then gets stumped(NOT RUN OUT).is he out and before you say yes he is out,give me a an offical rule to say that hes out.remember that he ISN'T run out.hes been stumped by the keeper

15. Out from a No ball
When No ball has been called, neither batsman shall be out under any of the Laws except 33 (Handled the ball), 34 (Hit the ball twice), 37 (Obstructing the field) or 38 (Run out).

Stumped is (39) so the answer is no he isn't out. See source for the laws of cricket.

By the way, this is the best question i have ever seen on yahoo answers. Really made me think.

The Law No. 24 regarding No Ball stipulates that when a No ball has been called, neither batsman shall be out under any of the Laws except 33 (Handled the ball), 34 (Hit the ball twice), 37 (Obstructing the field) or 38 (Run out)].

This is under rule 5.8b in the Cricket rules submitted by BBC in 1978. In this situation, the bowler gets a turkey for 3 strikes in a row, the keeper gets a save for blocking the goal, and the batter gets a Grounded Into Double Play for making 2 outs.

He will be declared run out.
Stumping can be done only from a legitimate delivery.Otherwise it is a run-out.
