I've had so many jobs working at coffee shops, smoothie places, teenagery-jobs etc., but never something this professional where I'm going to be working with adults and stuff. I"m so nervous! HElp me out!! Thanks I'm 21, but I feel so young-like still a kid working in this big fancy graphic design office.

well feel at home, talk to the people around you, make friends as these are the people u'll be living with for some time,
Make sure you dont get into rouble arguements and fights, see if the company allows u to talk on the phone and call someone nice if u start feeling wrong.

Look at this as a new stepping stone in life. You've already worked at several different places, and I bet you have gathered many different skills from these jobs. Think of this new job as another way to gain more skills, these skills will bring you together as one killer professional some day, if not already. Obviously you have gotten this type of job because you are worthy of it. So, apply the things you have learned from your previous job to the new one, as well as be vulnerable to new ideas! Relaxing will come after you realize that you're probably an asset to your new employers, so sit back and enjoy the idea that your valuable! :D

First of all, 21 is still young enough for nerves, so don't let that add to your worries. Understand that unless you hugely mess up, you probably won't get fired, and if you do, they would have fired anyone. Make sure you keep asking how you can do better (but don't pester), and when you get advice, make note of it. Also, find your strong points and sharpen them. The chance is you'll become "irreplaceable" at something you're the best at or no one else can really do well. Hang in there and you'll do wonderfully.

Just Breath! Don't do anything stupid. If not sure about something ask. Everyone starts out new. Don't let being new put extra added pressure and make you act like someone your not. Just do your job and in an office enviroment then do what ever else needs to be done. Good Luck To You!

It's natural to feel nervous in such a situation like yours. Let's look at the fact: you are accepted in that job. That means they saw your capacity, talent and good will to handle that job. Just give time to yourself to be adjusted to the people around you and to your job. Trust yourself. Congratulations for the new job!

Just take it easy. Everyone starts somewhere. Don't talk to much until you know what everyone is about. There are office know-it-alls, office stoolie, office romeos, office gossipers, etc... Don't do too much idle talking until you know who is who. Just stick to your work, and dress appropriately. You will do fine!! Good luck!!
