Tell your boss ASAP. If they let it go a few days before it's reported, it seems like it didn't even happen.

Harrased could be anything, like the guys talking about the girl they went home with at the bar last nite and how they think of her, or the way some other female looks in the jeans she has on.

There are lawyers, though, for the companies that fight against women joining a company and claiming false harrassment. I know that my husband works in a mostly male environment, but the women that do work there make the most of being a woman :-( They use it against the company in some way or another.

I would report it first thing if you felt stress or inconvenience to your job. You have to think, though, that filing the claim, being laid off for investigation, then maybe you win, maybe you don't might pay off for you, who knows......In the meantime, what are you teaching your daughter or son? Call fouls against people just so you can stay home and do nothing?? What a great example.

I'm a woman, so nothing stereotypic or gender racist (lol) I'm just saying, just sometimes laugh at a funny joke, or else tell an opposite gender joke against them.....I hung out with guys all the time at the job I had, they were brutes, (forklift drivers, warehouse operators, etc,) they never touched me because they knew they would be in trouble. The ones that were trouble were the foul callers and couldn't hold a job for more than a few weeks, or months before some allegation about sexuall harrassment.

Get a life......You are just teaching your kids to live off of other people for nothing, much like leaches do. Get a backbone......

You'll have to be less general about it than that. Immediately do the following:

First you have to know what it is and what it isn't so get a book like "Sexual Harassment in the Workplace" by Mary L. Boland.

These cases are difficult to prove and usually result in a "he
said, she said." You have to determine whether or not it was harassment, and if it was, are you willing to have your life turned upside down by reporting it.

For now, get the book and report the incident to the Human Resources department. Be prepared for them to not believe you and not fire the other person. Your employee handbook should have protocol for reporting incidents. Follow it.

Come back and ask more questions if you need to. I need details though in order to be of more help.

Depending upon the size of the company, she should report it first of all to a boss who is at least one level above whoever is harassing her. If it is a smaller company and there aren't various levels of management she should look on the bulletin board and there will be a number to call for discrimination and or harassment. Call that number and report it. You will need to be specific of some dates and times and what happened.

You should go to your direct supervisor and report the harassment. Keep good documentation of this.
This happened to me, I reported to my boss who was also the other peron's boss. I was told they would take care of it. Their way of taking care of it was to fire me the next day. So I filed a report with the EEOC and BBB and hired an attorney. After the EEOC and BBB did their investigation, the company settled on my law suit.
Good Luck

If I were her, I would confront the abusing party in stating that whatever they did is wrong, and then proceed to my boss... if that were my boss who sexually abused me, I would be making my way to the labour board... no one be either male or female should undergo any form of abuse, be it sexual inlcination or verbal or otherwise...

I hope that you settle this matter amicably .

Take revenge in anyway she can....Just reporting to the police and refuging to the LAW AND ORDER won't give her justice....
I'd suggest two options-
1) kill that man or
2) humiliate him and his family....
If the employer caused mortification in that woman, she equally deserves the right to bring his downfall....
