Ok, my friend tells me her boyfriend was drunk driving so I tell her its stupid to drink and drive. No, you dont understand.. he was depressed, is what she says.. but it doesnt matter theres no excuse for drunk driving I keep telling her this but she doesnt listen she acts like her boyfriend did nothing wrong and that he was depressed is a good excuse for this crap I dont know what the hell got into her. I wasnt trying to piss her off but defending somebody that was drunk driving???? Thats unbelievable..

So I ask you, what do you think on this situation. Was I right or her? I mean just because you're depressed doesnt mean you can drive drunk!

Of course you're right. As a matter of fact I like it the way that you see thing in life.Good for you.You must be proud of yourself. The reason is very simple.Under no circumstances a person could be driven under the influence. That is criminal act.If you friend is mad,is because she is immature and irresponsible.Don't pay attention to her. You're the winner. That is good for you.

Of course you are right. Just because you are depressed doesn't give you the right to go and kill someone and that could well be what this guys was doing by drinking and driving. And in a lot of cases it is not the drunk driver that dies.

You are right in your thoughts but, was he drunk or had he just had a drink or two? It is legal to drink alcohol and drive, it is illegal to drive while impaired and they are quite different things.

It is always safer to err on the side of caution and you are absolutely right, there is no excuse for drink driving. Even ignoring the statistic that in 41% of accidents one of the drivers was over the limit (meaning 59% don't have that excuse), the cost of being caught are huge and not just in a fine.

You know the answer and you stood up for it and now you need us to back you. Consider yourself backed. And lucky that you weren't in the car and will make a smart decision never to be in anybody's car who has been drinking (too much) and thinks he/she can drive.

Good for you. Stick to your guns.
