I have them trained to do everything from playing dodgeball to dancing to rap music. You know where they just stand there with one arm in the air and sway like they like the music, but I can't find a way to get through to them not to run with scissors. So I was hoping that it is only a bad thing for kids and it is okay for monkeys to do it.

Well, kids run with scissors, and it's a bad thing because what if they fall and stab themselves?
However, as we all know, monkeys have a better equilibrium than that of a human, so they balance better and will not fall and stab themselves (Unless they do it on purpose) So unless your monkeys are suicidal and/or homicidal, it should be fine for them to run with scissors. If your monkeys ARE suicidal and/or homicidal, then you may want to keep them away from anything sharp at all, whether they want to run with them or not.

I think it is just as bad for monkeys as it is kids. If kids run with scissors, God kills a kitten. If a monkey runs with scissors, God kills a puppy. As puppies and kittens are of equal cuteness, the results are the same. The math looks something like this:

If X=running with scissors, H=humans, M=monkeys, G=a Judeo/Christian deity, Z=a small, cute, domesticated animal, and D=death, then

HX+G(Z+D)=MX+G(Z+D)

See? Same thing.

"Does the rule of not running in the house with scissors apply to monkeys?" No: does the rule of not placing your elbows on the table apply to monkeys? I don't think so.

That's the only actual question you asked. As to your last statement: it isn't OK for adults to run with scissors, either. In fact, I'd be more scared of a crazed hobo chasing me down with scissors than of a preschooler withe their weak-sauce ones.

This isa funny question I think it's not okay because everyone will not be laughing at hisfuneral but they will laugh at mine once I'm done running this mile with the 50 inch scissors in my hand.

If monkeys could run and hold scissors, I don't think it would be safe.

But I think for them to run, they have to have their front paws on the ground. Otherwise, their hind legs are awkward and slow.

Yes it is ok as long as your monkeys are with you there in your padded cell.
