I am reduced to calling fat people,overweight people. Tonight on American Idol Lakisha and Melinda ,another wonderful beautiful singing, but they are overweight and did not look to good in those get ups, esp. Lakisha, and those arms. vs. Haley and Sinjiha(haven't a clue how to spell that name) nice to look at but weak voices. We can critise them for their weak vocals but everyone is afraid to tell Lakisha she looks like hell in a dress. Just fat people have feeling no one else does.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and you have to realize, when we look at people on television, the camera makes a person appear heavier than they truly are. I have met celebrities who look totally different in person than what they look like on television.

If what the competition is about is singing talent then it's unfair to criticize someone about anything other than singing. If it was a diet competition then it would be just the reverse.

Pavarotti can sing. Idols can not. And people will look bad.
