After all both the NFL and College Football have plenty of fans who more then can support the 2 seperate catagories. On top of that NFL and NCAA questions will keep crowding each other out making it hard for people to navigate through the area they want.

General can be just for HS or any other level plus those football questions that get lost in the current forum.

So far so good after all FOOTBALL (SOCCER) has something like 10 seperate sections. In the USA people would like to ask-awnser ?'s NCAA/NFL/ and yes HS without it gettin lost.

It took me a while to figure out what you were talking about.

Yes, I think it would make sense to divide Yahoo! Answers into different sections. I sometimes think I'm about to answer a question about the NFL, and find out its for the NCAAF.

So, three categories make sense. One for NFL, one for college, and one for questions that don't specifically reference any group. General is a good name for that third one.

Then we could actually look for questions and answers we want to answer or comment on.

I think we should take this to the people who run Yahoo! Answers. It makes sense.

I'm the same way. Having grown up in Columbus, Michigan, near North Bend Indiana, and in Kentucky, I have no affiliation with any college teams. Maybe that's why I don't care for it, but to me it's like watching high school football. One player can win a game and a championship for a team. I have, however always been a Bengals fan, as hard as that is to admit at times. I only look for the NFL questions, but it's hard to distinguish which are which.

Yes, but you forgot HS. (I'm 5'9" and 200 pounds, what position should I play. I don't think the local coach is as bright as random guys on a message board.":))

Now I see your additional details. I would make it HS and other to actually give those guys a clue, but you have a good idea.

Yes! There have been a couple times where I almost answer a question I think is pertaining to the NFL, but it's really NCAAF. Example Question: "How do you think Pitt will do this year?" I think they're talking Steelers, but they really mean Panthers. It gets quite confusing sometimes.

Cheers!

That is a very good idea. If they can put categories for Australian and Canadian Football, they should put American Pro and American College.

I would be in favor of this. Everyone who feels this way should click the "Help us improve Yahoo! Answers.Tell us what you think." link at the bottom of any Answers page and tell them.
