Actually I think a life and death would be an off switch for the dead person, but a high beam bright light for everyone else.

Actually, it wouldn't be a switch for the dead person because he'd already be dead and if anything it was a dimmer switch prior to the death.

I never thought of it that way. In my mind, for the rest of us, it's one light that's out. For the dead person, it's THE light that's out.
