It's so ridiculous. I'm tired of doling out wads of cash to the oil companies. I would ride my bike everywhere if it was feasible.

Yes, I do live in Cali. But when I lived in resort towns in Colorado, it wasn't much better at all. Regardless, gas prices are way to high. It's like they are testing our limits.

I hear you!! I am sick of it too. So what is their excuse for the hike now. They are getting so rich. Something needs to change. You know we outnumber them we should do something. I don't know what. But something.

You must live in California or Hawaii ... such high prices out there .. where I live it is a bit more reasonable .. but still ...

With the cost of a barrel of oil flat (or lower) .. I am VERY UPSET That oil companies are making LARGER profits and driving the COST of fuel UP at this time!

(Yes, the cost of fuel increased about 20 cents since the first of the month where I live).

NOPE! I let hubby do it AND pay for it also.Besides I spent 16 years are corporate VP for a company that owned another 14 companies that we were hands on with and dealt with the WTO & IMF.Power & Energy in the Geopolitical Sector is my life.I told everybody prior to 9.11 to buy Chinese Stocks in any of the Petroleum based industries.I also bought water globally and gun company shares because man has killed over wells since the dawn of time.First it was water wells they killed over then it was oil wells, I'm pragmatic about it because these flaws are inherrent in man, Mankind will never be able to accept the differences they are taught to hate growing up.

No, and I live in California. The higher prices are really rough on some of my relatives, but there is an upside. We're paying more attention to the environment and making an effort to save gas. We need fuel cells or whatever can be made to work well and inexpensively in place of gasoline.

Thank God it's only $2.83 here in Buffalo...for now! But I remember when it went up to like $3.50 a gallon, and one gas station didn't change it yet, and was selling it for about $2.90. I waited in line for almost an hour and filled up my tank!
But, yes, it's ridiculous. Now when someone asks me for a ride and says "I'll give you $5 for gas", all I can think is "What the hell is $5 going to do?!" But I usually empty my wallet out and give the ride anyways, out of the kindness of my heart!

I agree.. it's ridiculous. I remember when $20 would fill my tank, now I get 6 gallons. People that make min. wage have to work an hour just to get 2 gallons of gas.

Yes, so I gave up driving, which is awful because I have a hot car!
Now I walk, bike, or take the buses/subways.

No, my husband works in the oil business, so higher gas prices mean job stability.
