sorry, you can't do it unless you use DVD Shrink to convert the file to a smaller format (like wmv or mpg)
or, you could use a larger DVD-R
you can find 8.6 GBs i think, i kno its 8.something
they are hard to find, but very beneficial and slightly on the expensive side.
a more expensive way to go, but it will certainly save you time and effort from converting everything once if you are lucky, sometimes files that big need to be cut up and converted 2 or 3 or even more times.
hope this helps.

you are not going to be able to shrink the 7.5gb dual layer DVD to a regular 4.7gb dvd disk. There are shrinking programs out there, but none that will do that much compression.
DVD shrink will let you do it, but only after moving all but one of the sound options, all special features as well as subtitles and also taking out the menu system. Basically it will be just the movie and no features.

Not much you can do without removing much of the secondary features of the DVD such as commentary, deleted scenes, bloopers Etc.
"DVD shrink" is a good program.
You might want to look into a Dual layer burner.

im not sure if its 5 gb or 7.5 but i still think your out of luck if you dont want to lose quality. The only thing i can think of is converting to a different video type.

The iso is just an image. Use Roxio or other burn software to burn the image (.iso) file to the DVD. The program will extract the iso and place the indivduale files on the disc.

Any compression or converting(smaller) will loose quality.
dvdshrink is about the best for speed and uses vbr so the quality is about the best you can get. Set it to use vbr mutipass. Will take longer but looks better.
