You can also look up your state name(California.state.gov) or fill in the state that you are in if inquiring of another state applies.

The names of the agencies and their areas of responsibilities vary from state to state. Two suggestions: Look in the phone book under the blue pages (government listings). If you can't decide who has jurisdiction, call your local library and ask for the reference librarian. They will research this for you free of charge and answer your question. Good luck.
