Why is my turn signal making noises after I shut it off.?

My turn signal makes noises after I make my turn when it goes off.My signal light on the dash is off but you can hear it cliking still.It goes off but it seems to get stuck sometimes so I have to try shut the clicking noise off.I checked the lights with a friend and he said there was no turn signal on when I turned it off even when the clicking noise was there it was off when I shut it off and on when I turned it on it seems normal but the noise no what I,m sayin thanks.

They use very little power to activate, and can store minor amounts of energy and remain active even after the power is cut off.
