do you feel so guilty when you eat the meat of innocent animals that have feelings just like us humans?

animals should not be killed for food or people's accesories. They too have a life and they too fear pain. The government should Ban Killing animals for the sake of humans.

Yes, I began to feel guilty. That's why I stopped eating them. However, recently I accidentally started to eat a non-vegetarian food, and decided to finish it so that the animal's flesh at least wouldn't have been sacrificed for nothing.

I totally agree with the ban on killing, it should be obvious to everyone why killing is bad; not only for the victim, but for the perpetrator.

There is a difference between killing in order to survive (such as animals do), and the mass industrialization of slaughter.

Don't be brought down by all these negative people, remember the mentallity of our culture... "If somebody else has something we need, and they won't give it to us, and we have the means to kill them to get it, it's not unreasonable to go get it, using whatever force we need to."

No, I do not feel guilty about using an animal for food. That is what they were originally put on the Earth for. If the hide of an edible animal is used and not let go to waste, then the animal lived for a good cause in many areas. I do not agree, however, to sensless/needless killings just for a pair of boots or a handbag.

I do -- I know that I do it, and I know that I'm probably not going to stop, but I hate the idea that animals line up to get slaughtered. Esspecially baby animals, they don't even get a chance at living.

I don't nessicarly agree that the government should ban being able to kill animals for meat, but I do agree that it's not the most humane thing in the world.

Nope I too am a PETA member - People Eating Tasty Animals. I also go out and hunt them so that I can eat as well. So no regrets for the meat eating.

I also have to eat meat seeing that I am anemic and my anemia cannot be treated with iron supplements, it would cause me to become iron toxic.

So if the government banned eating meat, I would eventually become very ill from the lack of red blood cells in my body and die. So you would rather people like me die, than animals be killed for food? Hmmm...

.....

i take it youre a vegan

....?

lol, join the club hon, im a vegetarian, but look at it this way, do we really want more chickens than people on this already overpopulated planet? i kno, ppl breed them, but still, there has to be a food chain worked out sumwhere, and humans are omnivores, naturally. yes i do agree that we should go out shooting otters for hats and coats, but would u hate a grizzly bear for eating salmon? *fish are friends, not food* (hahah!! NEMO!! ok. im done : ] ) lol but really, i mean, if its for gluttony and its cruel, then its wrong, but i think we need to draw the line between necessary and completely idiotic (not saying UR the idiot, just saying the ppl who treat the animals badly are)

so theres my 2 cents.....take it and fly.

I feel that way too. So I became a vegetarian, and have been one for about 4 months! It is the best choice i have made in my life bcz i feel a lot better about myself knowing that some innocent animal wasnt killed so i can die from a clogged artery (sp?) heart attack, stroke, obesity, etc.

But killing animals (especially how they kill animals for your food- did you every pack of chicken you buy @ the store has feces in it? and milk has a very high level of pus in it?) should be completely illegal.

No, good grief! Humanity did not claw its way to the top of the food chain just so that I could eat lettuce. As for vegans:

Listen up brothers and sisters, come hear my desperate tale,
I speak of our friends of nature, trapped in the dirt like a jail.
Vegetables live in oppression, served on our tables each night,
This killing of veggies is madness, I say we take up the fight!
Salads are only for murderers, cole slaw's a fascist regime,
Don't think that they don't have feelings, just cuz a radish can't
scream!

I've heard the screams of the vegetables (scream scream
scream)
Watching their skins being peeled (Having their insides
revealed)
Grated and steamed with no mercy (burning off calories)
How do you think that feels (bet it hurts really bad)
Carrot Juice constitutes murder (and that's a real crime)
Greenhouses - prisons for slaves! (let my vegetables grow)
It's time to stop all this gardening (it's as dirty as hell)
Let's call a spade a spade (is a spade is a spade...)

How low as people do we dare to stoop,
Making young broccoli's bleed in the soup!
Untie your beans, uncage your tomatoes, let potted plants free
Don't mash that potato!
I've heard the screams of the vegetables (scream scream
scream)
Watching their skins being peeled (fates in the stir fry are
sealed)
Grated and steamed with no mercy (you fat gourmet slob)
How do you think that feels (leave them out in the fields)
Carrot Juice constitutes murder (V8's genocide)
Greenhouses prisons for slaves (yes your compost's a grave)
It's time to stop all this gardening (take up macrame_)
Let's call a spade a spade (is a spade is a spade...)
