The Music was the best.
Having to write notes to each other in school, and having to wait untill you get to your locker to see if someone you liked wrote you or not.
Life seemed more simple back then, no cellphones, not much with computers, no ipods (yikes)

The innocence. I remember being able to run around the neighborhood till dark and not worry about freaks out there. The best music and movies was from the 80's. I think the 80's was a wonderful time to grow up in.

I'd have to say being young. Back then it didn't matter what was happening in the world - I was to young to understand. Back then I was not embarrassed by the clothes my mother put me in because I was to young to understand how bad they were. Back then you could listen to whatever music you wanted and noone judged you. Back then you could live without fearing crime.
