Yes, I had a singleton and started my pregancy with triplets. One absorbed around week three and we lost the boy around week 10 and we thought we lost all the babies, but at the ultrasound, my daughter was hanging in there. So, yes, it is possible to lose one or have one reabsorb into the body. Your question is a bit vague. How far along were you when you knew you had twins, and was it documented on ultrasound? Also, did you ever hemmorage during the pregnancy that would indicate a loss of one of the twins?

Yes, my friend did with her first set of twins. At about the 6th month one of the twins was not growing well and ended up being stillborn. The other twin is a healthy 12 year old girl now.

yes. It's called vanishing twin syndrome. Some doctors even say that like 1 in 8 pregnancies starts out as twins

Yep, happened to an acquaintance of mine. She gave birth to the surviving twin 3 weeks ago.

Yes, a friend of mine was pregnant with twins and miscarried one of them, she delivered 1 healthy baby boy! He was normal & perfect 10 fingers & toes!!!

unfortunately yes..:( a good friend of mine carried twins twice but each time, only one survived. She has to carry the deceased twin until she was full term both times.

only if the baby litterally eats its twin, which does happen.
also one baby can misscarry, and you can still have the other twin. weird how it works huh?
