Jamie Cullum-Everlasting Love Lyrics
Hearts gone astray
Deep in her when they go
I went away, just when you needed me so
You won't regret
I'll come back begging you
Won't you forget
Welcome love we once knew

Open up your eyes
Then you'll realise
Here I said was my
Everlasting love

Need you by my side
Girl to be my bride
You'll never be denied
Everlasting love

Hearts gone astray
Deep in her when they go
I went away, just when you needed me so
You won't regret
I'll come back begging you
Won't you forget
Welcome love we once knew

Open up your eyes
Then you'll realise
Here I said was my
Everlasting love

Need you by my side
Girl to be my bride
You'll never be denied
Everlasting love

From the very start
Open up your heart
Feeling you forever
Everlasting love

Need a love to last forever
Need a love to last forever
Need a love to last forever
Need a love to last forever

I need a love
To last forever

"Everlasting Love" is a song first made famous by Love Affair, an English pop group.
Covers include the reworking by Jamie Cullum, a charity version by the stars of the TV medical drama Casualty, and versions by Carl Carlton (1974), Gloria Estefan (1994), Rex Smith & Rachel Sweet (1981), German singer Sandra (1987) and on a B-side by U2.

The very first to do it was Robert Knight and that same year re done by Carl Carlton, whose version was the bigger hit. These are 60's songs and one of my very favorites. I own both songs on the original 45 record. Yes the song title is called "Everlasting Love". Oh by the way I absolutely "hate" the Gloria Estefan version. Nothing soul about it.
