Not my parents, my Grandma....and since I'm married with children there were a lot of clothes flying and red faces.
I live just a few blocks from her and we live in a very small town where people still don't lock their doors...well, we do now.
Anyway, she walked over so we didn't have the forewaring of a car door slamming. The warning we got was the doorknob turning and Gram saying she had a surprise for us.
WE WERE ALL SURPRISED!
She did leave the pie she had baked for us....

I called my parents in one time when I was taking a bath (I was like 8 I think) and I had a Barbie and Jaws (The toy from the movie, was suppose to be a game) and I had a plastic baggie with a little mixture of ketchup and water in it (tucked just inside Jaws' mouth). I said "Watch this" I made the Barbie swim and then brought Jaws up and started mimicking the tune. The Barbie started to panic and Jaws came up and bit down on the Barbie's legs and when it did, the teeth pierced the baggie and the mixture ran out like blood. They said I was morbid. LOL

Well, when the Beatles hit town, I used to lip sync to their records and play my guitar. I was in the basement doing this and my sweet mom♥ was in the basement also...doing her endless sorting...she had a million clippings about famous people. I was never embarassed. My mom always encouraged my activities...be they silly or serious. I remember at her memorial service, one of my childhood friends said, "Your mom was a gas." She was that and a whole lot more....the five year anniversary of her death was a few days ago. It'll be wonderful to see her again, someday.
