Should I trade in my alto saxophone and buy a tenor saxophone? I like the sound quality better.

Yes, tenor sounds great. I'd get both if you can.

I think, of all the SAX I had, a good Baritone really does the Jazz/Blues thing the best.

Lisa Simpson and David Bowie play one.

You're not in a marching band, so you'll grow into the added weight. This is the sax that people call the "Dirty" sax because of its ability to be throaty and sexy.

If you want to change, change. It isn't like one is actually better to play career-wise than the other. If anything, you should continue playing alto and pick up tenor also. Most professional saxophonists play both.

with a question this life altering i think you should seek some profetional councelling first before making any dissitions. Maybe there is an issue from your past that you need to work through that would make you more comfortable with ythe sax you have. but if you work through all your past issues and you still think you need to get a sax change then go ahead.

Yeah, tenors are better. Especially for jazz.

that depends on your ability to play, perhaps you should get some professional advice before you make such a life altering decision. after all no one likes bad sax!
