I am a safe person, I hardly ever take risks. When I do, it's for nothing serious. I would rather be fairly certain I will be comfortable in life and not have huge worries like a busness failing then risk everything I have and come out with nothing. So, I wouldn't take a risk if failure meant losing everything.

I would take a calculated risk and I always do.

I take the risk so long as I can recover from the damage if it fails, even if it takes time to recover.

I would never get myself in too deep that I would be broken permanently should I fail.

For example, immigrating from my home country was a huge risk with terrible sacrifices, we left behind family and a very good life style, but after 7 years it is slowly beginning to become easier and we have settled in, so it has been a successful adventure for us.

You may confuse risk taking with chance taking.

A risk to me means, did I factor in enough information to warrent a snap decision. So my risks pay-off 80% or better.

A chance to me, is buying a lotto ticket. Anything can happen and does.

Hey, and life is never boring. If everything goes right, it can be dull, but never boring. It will be boring when you don't understand what you are up against.

I'd rather take a risk and succeed.. but if I had to fail along the way that woud FAR outweight taking the easy way out and not trying at all!
