Well first of all you might want to look into a product that you actually like. So if the business doesn't work out you can always keep the product for yourself. The easiest shopping cart system I've used is on yahoo.com.

Be sure to do some research on yahoo and google advertising so you can create traffic to your new store.

Good luck

First ask and obtain a business license from the court house. Since you will be selling online, look into flashfair, and look up OC commerce templates. These templates can be placed online, showing what you are selling, some come with music. It is great for clothing, music, etc. Also look into advertising on your site , you see sometimes flashes of ads on websites. These sites can pay you money for allowing them to advertise on your site ( type in pay per click). This will help you pay for the hosting of the website. You can contact different vendors concerning clothing, or maybe even have your own ebay website
also type in the resources below there are some good ideas on what you plan to sell. You will also need to obtain insurance for your business, and writing a business plan will not hurt either.especially if you plan to obtain a loan. Open a business account with the bank. Get a EIN number ( type in EIN application on the web) This is a social security number for the business, also think of a name for your business. Check with the department of revenue for information on taxes you will have to pay. Set up an Incorporation (type in how to incorporate) this protects your assets, if sole proprietorship meaning you only will be the boss seek good insurance, and all you need is a business license. Think about shipping costs of the items you sell talk with ups, fed Ex , or U.S. mail. it was a show on T.V. that provided items and shipped it for you in your company name, but I cannot think of it. They sold diffent household nicknaks ( sorry brain freeze)
I hope this helps if not ask something else and i will watch for you question then try to look it up

There are many ways to go about doing this, and many of them don't cost anything. The cheapest way to get a business started is to sellyour services instead of goods. Think about what skills you have that others would pay for, or what skills you can develop. There are many online skills that keep people busy full time and don't require start up cash. If you want to sell items online, turning to eBay is fastest, or you can start your own website, which is fairly inexpensive.

Well guess what...you shouldn't...because you're trying to not-lose instead of win which takes money. With no money and no idea I think it's plain that it's kinda dumb to presume you should go into an online business at all. How can you choose that if you've no idea what to sell or how much you'll need?

I highly recommend SBI! It doesn't take a lot of money to start, and you can become an "infopreneur" and sell information instead of hard goods. This product is robust enough to handle any sort of commerce, though, so don't let that limit you.

I've built my own website (it's still a work in progress!) using the same product, it's http://online-shopping-savvy.com I'm using my personal knowledge about online shopping to build a successful e-business.

Check out the link below, there's a TON of information about what's available via SBI!

Good luck!

I am in the health and wellness industry. For as little as $36 dollars you can have your own health and wellness industry too. This price also includes a web-site. http://www.cleansingdetox.isagenix.com/wealth.dhtml?inv=0

An inexpensive and simple way to get started is through EBAY.
