Just for warmth, and because it's illegal to go in most public places naked. Besides, you may want to be naked, but would you seriously want to see EVERYONE else naked?

If we all walked around naked, society would definitely be different. Oh sure, the clothing industry would collapse but think of all the new products and jobs that would be created. Disposable seat covers would be my first purchase.
Insofar as being buried clothed it is a requirement for men. Once rigor mortis sets in you wouldn't be able to close the casket lid.

Protective clothing.
Clothing to stay warm or keep th sun off.
Clothing to make a statement.
But apart from that, I think the world would be better if people were naked a lot more often.

true but do you really want to see fat people naked? Sorry but America has gotten quite overwieght and I am sure there are plenty of people I don't want to see naked.

When Adam and Eve sinned they realized they were naked and God gave them clothes. The real reason we wear clothes is a way to conceal our sinfulness from others. I would say yes.

if you want to live longer, wearing protective layers of cloth help. if these protective layers of cloth impress others of your species through flamboyance or warn predators that "wait, I'm hot stuff you cant touch me", it also helps.
but, quite literally, we need clothes for protection against climate. if you live in friendly climate that wont harm your naked self, you could live nude. (just beware the cops and the claims of "indecency in public")

thats why some people are nudist.
most ppl are shy about their bodies thats why we wear clothes. also, we are taught its "improper" to walk round naked
