in all seriousness, we can do without cameras(not the ones that are used for news/in the media). I mean average human beings who own one...

yes, we can. we can live without technology if we wanted to, humans did before.
but, some people like to take photos of moments to remember

I still prefer the old type of cameras where you need film, because it is still much clearer than the digital ones. Those darn pixel crap makes picture look blurry.
