If we're thinking the same song than it's "Last Kiss" by Wayne Cochran. Pearl Jam remade the song a few years back.

There was the song Suzie Q by Creedence Clearwater Revival, and then there was Last Kiss by Pearl Jam... don't remember any others, great movie by the way. =)
