Capital punishment is the same as the death penalty. Today, lethal injection (injecting deadly chemicals into the condemned person's body) is the primary form of capital punishment. Some states, though, still allow prisoners to choose the electric chair.

As a side note, the US is the only industrialized country to practice capital punishment.

Capital Punishment is the sentence to Death. There are States that do not have Capital Punishment. I am not sure but I think Utah still hangs people. In most States people are put to death by injection or the electric chair.

Capital punishment is the death penalty, usually reserved for mass murderers... and it should be limited to these.. types of death penalty include, hanging, firing squad, lethal injections, and electric chair... guillotine (chopping off head)
