How did you go about "deleting" the unused programs? Using the uninstall applet within Windows or just delete the files off? What are the programs/games that you deleted, the names of them?
You may get around by using Firefox instead of IE, but the root of the problem is much deeper; Windows may need to be reinstalled.

There is a few things you can try.
One try to download another internet protector like norton anti virus. A good one is AVG they have a free edition that works good. than contact yahoo and ask them what is wrong with that problem. because if the only things you deleted was norton and some games than I don't really now why yahoo would not work. But you can try those for starters. Hope it works.

Did you delete the programs or uninstall them?If you uninstalled them then go into program files and find them and open them, find set up short cut and reinstall them.If you still have the problem then you can rule them out as the cause of your problem...If you have a recovery disk you may be able to run a windows repair rather than reformatting.but that may be your only option(as a last resort).....good luck

the best thing to do is to restore ur system to the day b4 u made all these changes. go to start, all programs, accessories, system tools, system restore, click restore to an earlier time, then click on the day b4 you made the hanges. Follow the instructions. It may take a while and requires that the PC restarts but its worth a shot!

Go to system restore and restore it to a date before you did the deletion. If that doesn't work you may need to reload your start up disk.
