(sony ericsson Z520a) to put a new face plate I had ordered through eBay on it. It was a little tricky but not too difficult. any way When I got the new face plate on at first the volume was very quiet (I could barely hear anything) then I couldnt hear anything at all. So I tried putting the phone back together with the original face plate and still no sound. What should I do? I don't understand what went wrong... I didn't break anything....???

This is only a suggestion (and I'm sure you've already checked), but when you were replacing the face plate maybe you inadvertently pressed the volume control on the side of the phone? (I've done it myself and wondered why reception was so faint!). By the way, I'm assuming all other phone functions work.
So before you take the phone for checking, press the + end of the volume rocker control and see what happens. Incidentally, removing/replacing the face plate should not have damaged the speaker, or indeed anything else, if done according to the instructions. (Just had a thought - I suppose you have a fully charged and correctly fitted battery...?!)

while you were changing that out, a speaker wire cam loose. There is no doubt that is the reason because it won't just stop immediately, it will fade out and then be completely dead. Loose Speaker wire or corroded speaker wire due to moisture. Sorry to hear about it man, sucks you just got a new phone...

You could try calling the sony ericsson customer service or go to http://www.sonyericsson.com and see if they have any answers to your question on the help page.
