It seems that they will have one of the best Offensive lines next year, so that is good news for Jamal Lewis. They have a ton of talent on defense, and they might land Brady Quinn in the draft. Chances are better then they ever have been for them in recent history.

My heart says: YES!!!
My head says... probably not this year- maybe 2008.

The Browns seem to be heading the right direction but still need help on OL, QB, DL, CB. And RAC is still in the hot seat and it's rumored that could lose his job mid-season if the Browns don't perform.

I like some of the additions in Free Agency this year, especially Antwaan Peek (LB), Eric Steinback (OL) and Robaire Smith (DT). Not sure on how Shaun Smith (DL) will turn out - he's big but also went undrafted and never really broke the starting rotation of his other teams - why will he be "the answer" for us at NT?

Anyway, we'll know a LOT more after the Draft and then training camp.

A Browns fan can dream cant they? I hope they can do good but it is hard to tell. Depends who they draft, Adrian Peterson will have more of an immediate impact than say, Gayday Quinn. They have upgraded their O-line, but their QB issues are still there as well. Their defense should get stronger, with TONS of injuries getting cured. Hopefully Lecharles Bently, their million dollar free agent signing from last year, will forgoe another surgery and actually play center this year! Romeo is on the hot seat and COULD be out by midseason and I would like to see him stay.

If you consider 8-8 good, then they have a good chance to get there.. and if they dont, Romeo is gone. They have pretty much the toughest 6 division games of anyone (2 versus Pittsburgh, Baltimore, and Cincinnatti). They have to start winning 6 home games at the least each year, and pick up a few on the road.

Here we go Brownies, here we go.. hopefully.

I hate to say it, but I don't think they'll be a powerhouse by next year.

They have certainly improved, but there are a lot of things in the air. I think they'll take a QB this year if either Quinn or Russell are available at their pick, and by the time he's developed a bit (in two or three years) they will have gotten the rest of the team up to speed. I like their choices so far this year, and there's nowhere to go but up.

Over all, they will do better than the last few years, but I think it will be two or three years before they get back to the playoffs.

I say they win eight or nine next year, looking at their opponents, and assuming they can win the ones they should be able to win.

I think the division is too strong for them to keep up. I believe they will have a good team but against the likes of the Ravens and Bengals they can't keep pace. The Steelers still have a bunch of weapons as well. The AFC North is just too loaded with competitive teams. The Browns have too many question marks still to assume they can compete all season.

Not really. They seem to just have a bad organization. High draft picks do not help them for one reason or another and all 3 teams in their division are far ahead of them in talent and development.

Well, that depends on how soon the snow melts. At the rate it's going- Cleveland may have to move its games to Key West to get them in! (& you can be SURE- that EVERYONE will follow! :) ).

I think they will. Looks like they are getting Brady Quinn, and like him or not, he is a great QB!
