There are no Black Universities any more -- just "Historical Black Colleges and Universities" -- which are open to everyone.

I have a friend who is white and went to Howard University Law School (about 15% of his class were not African Americans).

Schools can't discriminate on the basis of race. Just as you can go to a school that is mostly white, you can go to one that is mostly black. Being Latino may even help you if that college is trying to diversify it's student body.

Marisa Tomei is white, and she went to Hillman. (Okay, her character went to Hillman, the fictional college on A Different World.)

But yes, you can be accepted to a Historically Black College or University (HBCU) if you're Latino. Good luck.

Yes, they can't deny you admission based on race, even if the students are predominately one race. While some students of color might prefer to go to TX A&M at Prarie View for instance because of the higher percentages of students of color there, the school can't deny you admission based solely on race.

Good luck with your college hunting.
