Although we've had this vaccum for a couple of years my husband has always changed the bag. Unfortunately I'm going through a divorce and he's not around anymore. I need to fix this problem myself and I'm not sure whats wrong. Has anyone else had a similar experience with Kirby vaccum's? HELP!!

The vaccum is a G6-2000. How often do fan belts need to be changed and could this be the real problem?

Sounds like you didn't install the bag properly. Un-zip the cover, read the instructions, and try again.
