If your partner/spouse and one of your children were both hanging of the edge of a cliff,BUT,you could only save one-Who would you choose and why?

Ouch... A very tough situation here. If there were anyway to save them both and instead have myself fall that would be my choice but that insn't allowed and is in all honesty and easier way out of the situation so as not to have to deal with the pain oneself. So here goes:
I would save my child for simplistic reasons. The first I would know/believe this to be the wish of my spouse. Second the child has more to live for.
Thats pretty much it. Nothing would ever erase the grief over losing my spouse though.

Being a guy I think this is even harder. I would go for the child. They were put under my protection and are my responsibility to keep safe. My wife would be next if time if not she would have to understand and I believe she would make the same choice, and I'd understand that too.

Hmm nice question would you save the one that you love or the kid that could change the future, i would personally save the child, or try to pull a divine intervention killing myself to save both my spouse and my child

My partner because I don't have any children. But if I did, my child. My partner would have to understand.

i'd try my hardest to save both of them. i have two hands, i can do my best to pull them up. my husband would know right away that he'd save his kids so he'd save our kids. he'd sacrifice himself for them, which i'd do too. but still, i'm going to save them all.
