Do I need to seal or prime rthe bare concrete before painting?
I am looking closely at Olympic Epoxy paints
any advice welcome

yes sir...... u must prime and seal before applying a finish coat on it. and most specially, check for a moist part and it must be dried before applying coatings. and humidity is a must...

Just follow the directions of the type of paint you are going to use .I'd say if you sealed or primed it and you didn't have to , you'd be spending un necessary cash (and besides maybe the type of paint you decided to go with might not be compatible with the sealer or primer that you applied ). I've had good luck with the Optilon brand of pool paints.

Don't paint it. It makes it look like you are covering up a problem. Instead have a professional reseal it correctly.
