Sometimes the flashes can start 15 years before you stop your period,it takes one full year without your period that is when you have gone through menopause.I haven't even mention the mood swings,the whole experience is a bloody night mare. You'll go the the most messed up periods, in your life. I went through it, sometimes miss a month, next time go 25 days out of 30, and then to 15. It all finally stopped after about a year thank God. That was not my way of dieting.
So if yours are really messed up, it's normal.
