Yes and here is why. Not only am I gay, but I don't think that any one group should have control over the other. Why would someone vote no? we are not hurting anyone, we are just people like everyone else. It would be the same scenario if all of the gay people had the water rights everywhere, and wouldn't let the straight people come to drink. You might say that there is a difference, but I see none, we would both be dead on the inside.

Yes i do.
Why should the beliefs of people who follow the bible be inflicted onto everyone else. I do not view it as a sin and have no moral objections to gay marriage. Love is love.

I support legal recognition of gay marriage. But I also respect religious freedom to not marry us in their churches. There's a difference, I do not wish to intrude on the religious freedoms for my personal ones.
But that's where the separation of church and state come in after all.

Absolutely! Church and state are not to be mixed right? So why is it then that the only reason the government can come up with, for not allowing my partner and I to be married (by a judge, not a priest) is "because the bible says so"? Churches don't have to support it, but why doesn't the government? Besides, I know plenty of homosexual couples that were married in their church, it is just their state that won't recognize it. I don't get it!
edit... see, bible this and bible that. I'm talking about legal marriage here, church-------state, seperate. And what about those churches that DO marry homosexual coules? I just don't get that.

Yes indeedy !!!.
My partner and I vowed to love, comfort and support each other all our days and could not have been happier if we had wed in the High Church of St. Giles in Edinburgh. Later events made me realize that properly tied legal matters can save a great deal of pain.
Best wishes, Rose P.

I hate to be a hair splitter but here goes. I believe all consenting adults should be able to have a civil union. To me Marriage is by definition religious and thus not to be endorsed or excised by the state. Therefore it is not the authority of the state to set who is to declare their love for another. But instead is to be the arbiter of the contract. No one goes to a church and lets the pastor decide who gets what furniture or mutual funds. A civil court does! If the church wants to discriminate against whoever ...let them. But the state should not.
