okay- this means that the less "perfect" you percieve yourself to be, the more productive you are? So that means that person who think they are less "perfect" are more productive and give you average performance while people who think they are more "perfect" will probably procrastinate and will also give you average performance of a task? So, to be the most successful in life, you must think of yourself as very "unperfect" but strive for perfection when completing a task?

I don't think so at all. I think procrastination comes from the way you make decisions, which is part of your personality. People who are comfortable making decisions without all the data, people who often jump to conclusions, who decide things based on their gut or intuition, get more done than people who don't have gut instincts and who don't make snap decisions.

Not quite so amigo... Procrastination is the behavior of putting off until later what could be done now. Sometimes it does no harm but sometimes it can mean the difference between doing or getting done now and avoiding having to do it later. I know a friend who has needed to replace some important documents since November but keeps putting it off. A situation came up that unfortunately my friend could not participate in due to this habit and now has to get her documents in order to explain to the government her innocence in another situation that could get her landed in jail in a foriegn country soon if she doesn't do what she should have done months ago to avoid this up-coming situation.

Makes sense to me. I never give myself 100% on any task I do. A 90% is good enough for me, but I always try to do better. In the end, I really do better even though I finish my work last minute all the time.

Yes...perfectionism is fear. When you have fear at not being the best, you will rarely try. I have stuggled with this all my life. It really takes some major self motivation and self examination to break the habit of this type of thinking.

I get what you're saying but my answer is not really because the word "perfect" gives you one level of achievement so perfection is the same for everyone.

It may be more likely that procrastination is linked to a fear of failure.
