I've been testing for my LH level to surge so far, the results have been negative. So, I read the instructions again and it said to hold your urine for four hours before testing. Has anyone that had a positive result hold their urine that long before the test?

well the best results should be your first morning urine that would give you the best results and remember you don't ovulate until day 14 its 2 weeks after your cycle and 2 weeks before you will get the best results and you only have a 24hr period for the sperm to be effective. but researchers studied that sperm lives for only 7 days. see if you get a positive result that way if not maybe it's not you or the test just don't work. did you have your husband tested to make sure he has positive swimmers. you never know.

Not for too many hours, just a couple, and you are supposed to test towards the end of the day, unlike a pregnancy test when you test first thing in the morning.
