Well heres the info my boyfriend is going to cal poly, and I don't know what to do. Cal poly is exactly 3 hours away. Like right now I already feel like our relationship is going downhill.Everytime I try to talk to him about it he gets upset or he doesn't take the situation seriously. I feel like if he goes something might go wrong like he might cheat on me or he might break up with me....

You both are too young to be worried about a serious relationship. At this stage of the game, the both of you should be focused on college and your future careers.

I know that's hard to let your relationship go, but be realistic. You both need to work on your careers with the possibility of seeing other people.

If you two are really meant to be, you two will eventually get back together in the future.

ERica, it is possible that a little distance might givr you both some perspective on the situation. Make a list of all the things that you like/love about him and if it is possible tuck some away in his gear so he finds them as he unpacs. They will be a reminder of good times you have had and if he does get the freshmen blues will help with that too. All in all three hours is not so bad. My love and I were a continent apart for almost a year and wrote every few days. I don't mean e-mial either. Those tangeble little pieces of paper you can put a drop of your perfume on, ya know! Good luck!

if you want this to work then you need to stop the whinning. i mean give him a break , it is hard on him too!! when he leaves it will be hard but you have to trust him. why cant you go with him? i mean you can find a job over there and be with him. make it work if you really want it to work!! sometimes long distance relationships wont work be ready for that too. think about it , a guy going to college. parties, girls, alcohol!! it might happen. i say you think about it really hard , if he doesnt want to talk about it maybe he isnt ready for it either and wants out., good luck.
