American Idol became a joke when Stephanie Edwards went home before Sanjaya and that other chick with the "legs" the show is becoming a joke and I blame the judges for even letting sanjaya get that far!

I believe the people voting for him are just voting for his looks and not his talent, (mostly young girls) because he doesn't have alot of talent. I don't think these people voting for him realize what there doing to the show itself and to the other singers. If Sanjaya wins or not they should change the way we get to vote. We should only be able to phone in one vote per phone number. With all the technology, I'm sure there's a way to do this. I just feel bad for the rest of the group that are very good singers and didn't or won't get through to the next round because of him. Unfortunately, Sanjaya will end up with a contract with some record company, make a CD, and then disappear. He needs to realize that he has alot of growing up to do. His voice needs to finish going through puberty and with alot of practice he could make it. Looks don't go very far if you don't have talent. If he ends up winning, I will not be watching next year.

I don't think it will happen... but if it did, I would probably be upset that Blake didn't win :) :), but in the aftermath I would definitely laugh.
It would stink for Simon, after everything settled down, he wouldn't make much money off of him. Besides gettin paid for appearances, who's would actually buy Sanjaya's record?!
I love American Idol, but I just really get a kick out of people voting for Sanjaya.

I think it would be a great step in eliminating the mindless tripe Americans are filling their mids with; no wonder kids can't read or write or have much more intellect than a cucumber; I would be embarassed to tell peole if I watched this drivel; vote Sanjaya or Alfred E Neumann!!

my friend loves the show and hates sanjaya ... its fun to mess with her when each week he holds on ! im lovin it !

He actually is pretty bad. I don't see how he got this far in American Idol. It's crazy.
If he does win, it's only for his looks/hair, that little girls across the nation are falling for =[
If we wins though... I don't really care, I'd still watch the show. That's not the end of it.

I would like to stamp my feet, and throw myself on the floor kicking and screaming...and swear I would never watch again...but I would probably just go along with it and become obsessed next season. I would however suggest that they change the scoring system...and allow the judges to "score" and have their opinions weigh in, similar to Dancing with the Stars.
