If the coin is in so-so condition it is worth 7 to 8 times face for it's silver. In grade good it is worth a little over silver content no mater what the mint mark is if any. Around $2.30, in grade very fine the one without the mint marks is worth about $2.60 the D one $10 and the one with the S $4.75. The coin is not scarce. The above values are about what a dealer would pay. Most coin values magazines are high and dealers sell below their listed prices, so they pay less.

If it is a US quarter, then it is silver and worth a lot more than 25 cents. A lot will depend on what condition it's in, how well you can see the engraved lines around George Washington's head, and how clear the design on the back is.

A "fine condition" 1935 quarter is worth about $4.00. You might check with a local coin store to see how much yours is worth.

A 1935 Washington quarter is made of silver, with fineness of 0.900. In average circulated grade, the quarter has a retail price of $4(no mintmark on the reverse beneath the wreath), $15(with small "D") and $8(with small "S"). If it's very worn, it's still worth about $2 due to the silver in it.
