oooppsss.
That happened to me , but the only difference is that I put it in the Washing Machine and Thru the Dryer!!! haha it was a cute nokia 601 phone 1 month old....
Try opening it.,... let it dry.. a few days... if it dropped in clear water you have a 50 50 of survival.. if it was coke , lemonade or something else.. chances are the phone is dead...cause some of this things will dry and damaged the insides of the phone... so try opening it and let it dry for some days,.... and if after putting it back together dosn;t work youll just have to buy a new one....
---- If it dosn't work.. don't try taking it back to the store, and say that it just didn't work all of the sudden.. they know... now a days .. cell phone manufacturers put a liquid sensitive sticker on the back of the phone , in the battery compartment, to start off, the sticker is white... but when liquids touch that little round sticker it will turn pink--- that will cut your lie if you try to get it fixed by the store!!!! so if it dosn't work... look for a used phone on ebay..

I once lost my cell phone in a snowbank. It was there for 11 days. After the battery was removed and it was left indoors for a few days, it worked. I deal with electronics all of the time. DO NOT turn on the phone with the battery in it when it's wet. You will short it out. Take the battery out and leave it alone for a few days after you pat it dry. I know, sad to be without the cell, but if you don't have insurance to cover it, due for an upgrade or can't afford to replace it, it's what you have to do. This goes for all electronics - house phones, remotes, Ipods, gameboys... Take bats out and let dry completely. Scrape off any rust that may appear CAREFULLY. Good luck!

if u tried turning on the phone after u dropped it in the water, then chances are you are screwed because then u force electricity back into the circuits and fry the phone.
if not then remove the battery and back cover and keep on blow drying it , trying not to heat up the phone to hot or u might melt internal components. when u see condensation on the phone screen, wait for a bit and try to blow out the condensation. after blow drying for about 15-20 minutes ( once again not overheating the phone) take the phone and put it on something warm like a rogers digital box or DVD player and leave the box on all night. by morning you can try to turn back on the phone. i had a few phones the got wet, and by doing this my nokia phones worked! good luck!

Take the phone apart completly by removing the covers, battery and sim. Leave in a dry place or try with a blow dryer again on a low setting. If it still doesn't work take it to a designated phone repair shop and test a new battery. If that still fails try and get a new one if still under warrenty.

well, when I accidently washed mine in the washing machine, I thought what the heck, I'll throw it in the dryer to see if it dries it out... it might work.... um, it didn't. All it did was vibrate, a lot.
So, I tossed it in the trash, went on ebay and got one pretty cheap. I am using it now and it works just fine. I didn't have insurance on mine. If you do have insurance, just go pay the $35 and get a new one.

Let it air dry overnight. It may recover. If it's not insured, then you may not have much luck getting a warranty replacement. The provider will likely open it up and look for water damage (water spots, etc).

YOU NEED TO TAKE IT APART AS MUCH AS YOU CAN..AND TOMORROW PUT IT OUT IN THE SUN, JUST LONG ENOUGH TO DRY IT, I MEAN DON'T LET IT SCORCH IT OR ANY THING, BUT TONIGHT I WOULD JUST TAKE IT APART AND LEAVE IT ON A FLAT SURFACE, THEN TAKE IT OUT SIDE IN THE MORNING . I HOPE THIS HELPS I HAVE DONE IT LIKE 3 TIMES BEFORE AND IT SEEMS TO WORK FOR ME...AND DON'T TRY TO TURN IT BACK ON UNTIL IT IS ALL THE WAY DRY...HAVE A GOOD NIGHT AND GOD BLESS...
