People use the expression "Don't grow up too fast" meaning that when you're a kid you don't have as many responsibilities as you do when you're older and people want kids to take advantage of that and just be a kid. But when someone does something immature and stupid, one will probably tell them to "Grow up" because people didn't say to be stupid, they said to be a kid and have fun!

Immaturity is something that most of us have from time to time. It's more like act your age. If your 15 and doing something a 7 year old would do that is immature and you need to grow up and act your age.
I can tell you from experience that it is more fun to be a child than an adult. Less responsibility.

i will continually appreciate singles devoid of youngsters opinion and decision. Its a private decision. So via all ability date or dont date who you want. previous that as a discern. i will say the two are distinctive doesnt mean ones a third wheel if issues get severe. the affection for toddlers is.unconditional and everylasting is what which ability. Doesnt mean human beings cant prioritize and love yet somebody else as nicely. i'm reliable believer that single mom and father could date different single mom and father or somebody who particularly particularly has no delay regarding the guy having a infant. Cuz oftentimes cases from my commentary whilst its bitter its cuz the childless person won't be able to different than the s/o with a infant cuz they experience some how threatened and want validation. It shouldnt be the guy with childs job to validate those insecurities.

have you ever heard the saying "children are to be seen and not heard" well it kinda goes with that....
people want children to be mini adults but without actually coming right out and saying that so they instead say "be a child" and then when you act up they say grow up because they expect you to be a mini them. Am I making sense?
Honestly when someone says grow up you should say "no I'm acting my age"
honestly I hate how fast children are growing up...it's really sad....I have little cousins who are trying to out do me by going to school faster and havin children and getting married before me. I'm only 20 and so they're still teenagers and doing all this crazy stuff. it's sad really. Please don't let someone tell you to grow up faster than you think you should.
3/4th of your life you're adult. Let that 1/4th of being a carefree child last as long as possible!! It's the smallest amount of time you have.

OMG I totally agree with you. I am 18, soon to be graduating from high school and I have so many people in my family telling me to enjoy being young, stay a kid, and all that but then as soon as I get into an argument with one of my siblings who are 8 and 11 they tell me to grow up.

I think that when people say "be a kid" they don't mean - be immature. They mean - "enjoy the simple things of life, play and don't worry so much about everything". Those are qualities kids have and that adults lack.

because, you can be mature and still be "kid like" being immature has nothing to do with being like a kid I know lots of kids that are more mature than grownups. Basically kids are innocent if they don't know something...grown ups should know better.

interesting...but i think there is a difference between acting immature and having a youthful state of mind.
You can be excited about life and still remain responsible. its the best of both worlds.

Yes it is ironic, but still try to stay young as long as possible. Age is just a state of mind until you get to be 80 then age is just age.
