We've got over 3,000 dead in a four year quagmire that this administration chooses to call the slaughter "the war on terror." The oil companies raise gas prices on nothing more than seeing a cloud in the sky! And yet some junior journalism moron can't think of anything better to ask a presidential candidate than the cost of GROCERIES??

Methinks he's a Conservative "Insider"- who's trying to change the subject off the war. Like many of his kind, he's a couple of eggs short of a dozen. :)

It's a perfectly reasonable question to ask. It shows whether or not a candidate is really in touch with the average American. Nothing wrong with it, as stuff like that rarely, if EVER gets asked.

Everybody needs groceries...

Gas prices are going to go down soon though...Barrel prices are dropping and the refineries were adjusting to summer blends, reducing production rates. Expect them to drop significantly within the next month for sure.

Yeah, there ARE other issues, but don't you think it's good to know just how out of touch some of these candidates are?

If we'd paid any attention when Bush showed himself to be an elitist, we wouldn't be in the mess we are today.

I think the question and the answers show how out of touch our politicians are with the everday person that isn't giving them thousands of dollars. I bet they can answer stock questions more accurately.

hey....we all have to eat....
if you knew anything, you would know thats a basic indicator of how our economy is doing and what direction its moving....i will give you the point that iraq has been made a huge talking point by leftists and anti americans...but there are other issues a president has to be able to understand also...economy being a major one...
