Someone finds it and puts it and all it's contents in the lost and found closet....

I lost my box a long time ago but I found it - it was in the last place I looked, of course!!!

If you loose a lost and found box, then someone else will come along and find it and put it in their lost and found box and the whole situation repeats and repeats. Interesting question!

It's not a big deal, the owners of the items didn't know they were in the box to start with. So you get another box, make it look like the first one and no one is ever the wiser.

Put a sign down saying, "Sorry No Lost and Found Box..." But maybe... it was someone's box, and they found it... and just took the contents... Oh my...
