Taking responsibility for the choices that you make is a start. People have a tendency to take on the role of the victim. As easy as it may be to do, step away and outside that role and accept the consequences. Another thing is to step outside your comfort zone. Sometimes we get so used to doing things a certain way and we don't realize that maybe, by doing it a certain way, we aren't happy or are preventing happiness. People talk about how difficult it is to change, but we do it everyday. When you go to a store and pay in cash, you are getting change back. The dollar is no longer in the original form, but has changed.
Another thing is always be honest simply because you don't have to worry about keeping all the lies straight in your head. You can just say the truth and be done with it. Also, never say anything you don't mean and make sure your words are supported by actions.
Finally, don't try to be anyone else but yourself. Always be true to yourself. Hope that helped

Well first off I don't hang out with the immature society at my school. They're always swearing and talking about pretty gross junk whenever I'm in earshot. Also it pretty much depends on who you were most influenced by when to you were a child. If your 10 year old brother who's now probably older acted up stupid like around you, you at the young age you were probably copied it thinking it's how humans socialize. It's a bit too late to do anything about that now, but if you really want to become more mature, stop swearing for no reason just to get laughs.

One thing that made me really grow up was watching my mom die of cancer for 15 months. Maturity usually comes with age, though. I'm still working on the confidence thing so I'm not the one to ask about that.

You just have to accept responsibility. If you do that, you are already pretty mature. As for confident, try and be outgoing, be willing to be your own person, and state what you really think even if others think something else.

I took a CPR coarse as fun and ended up saving three lives. One was my 2 year old daughter. God does work in mysterious ways.
